- Independent Carpenter/contractor, on and off since 2000. Had the honor of working closely with a 501c3 non-profit community housing group in Berkeley, CA to lift a single story residential house to a 2 story dwelling, and then laid radiant floor heating and poured a new foundation, re-framed all walls, new windows and doors, insulation, siding etc. Later demoed the attic to put all new trusses and created a livable 3rd story floor. And we later bought the adjacent house in a chapter 7 bankruptcy, through a Land Trust, and did similar work next door. Including grey water catchment systems, permaculture gardening, and solar panels on both houses, 2 massive projects over a 15+ year period of time.
