Inside Sales and Shop supervision. I was employed at what was called the North Shop of Paramount where all the dump bodies were manufactured in house for local customers as well as out of town distributors.
Universal Truck Body was purchased by my father, Rich Wilcox in 1986. I was brought on board in 1989. In the early 90's we had a fire that destroyed our entire shop in Huntington Park. We downsized and moved to Fontana. The downsizing made it necessary for me and my father to make the mutual decision for me to move on as he did not want to grow the business at that point, post fire. In 2002, I convinced him that we should build it again.
