The past 15 years' experience as the head coach for Miami Palmetto Senior High School’s badminton team, winning the GMAC title in the first year as head coach, finishing 2nd last year during a rebuilding year, so far winning eight GMAC titles including the current streak of three championships in a row. In years past, since 1977, have actively provided coaching to various high school teams throughout the season. Actively involved in the promotion and advancement of the sport of badminton throughout the country; serving on the Board of Directors of USA Badminton (USAB) as the Southeastern Regional Director from 1991 to 2008; as Sport Director for Badminton with the Sunshine State Games and State Senior Games since 1985; Vice-President of the Southern Badminton Association (SBA) since 2008; serving on the Board of Directors of the Florida Badminton Association (FBA) since 1985; on the Board of Directors of the United States Badminton Education Foundation (USBEF) since 2005; and I continue to maintain close ties with the national office in Colorado Springs in its quest to establish a location for a National Training Center for USAB, as well as the Pan American region of Badminton World Federation (BWF). Proven athletic administration skills include: Budgeting Staffing/Scheduling Travel Planning Academic Standards Public Relations Recreational Programs Certified Level 2 Teaching Coach with USA Badminton. Duties include providing instruction and certification for Level 1 and Grassroots Coaches in the Southeast United States. Have organized and run, along with Dudley Chen, numerous local, state, regional, and national tournaments. Assistant Sport Manager for Badminton in the National Senior Games in 2007, 2011, as well the upcoming National Senior Games in Cleveland in 2013. Senior Spotter for the badminton competition with Atlanta Olympic Broadcasting for 1996 Olympic Games. Statistician for badminton with NBC in 2004 in the Athens Olympic Games. Badminton Advisory Board member with the Yonex Corporation since 1991.
