During my time in the infantry I had the opportunity to participate in many events such as Integrated Training Exercise (ITX) at 29 Palms California as well as the Cold weather package at the Marine corps Mountain Warfare Training Center in Bridgeport California. I served as a Designated marksman with my platoon on our deployment to Okinawa Japan where we conducted many field training exercises. As an infantry marine I became familiar with the effective employment of the Marine Corps Rifle Squad and the management of armed assets at the company level. While I was serving with 3/3 Marines I had the opportunity to attend the marine corps Combat Marksmanship Coach course (CMC). During my time at the course I qualified with the M9 Beretta and M27 Rifle. I was awarded class high shooter on rifle for scoring 48/3 of a possible 50/3 points. Upon graduating from CMC I coached Marines on the correct employment of their weapon systems and assisted in range operations.
