Summary

I have been a dedicated law enforcement professional for nearly 25 years. Public service has always been a passion of mine, as I served in the United States Army, and with the N.C. Department of Corrections prior to joining the Raleigh Police Department in 1998. A high level of motivation and dedication led to an amazing career with the Raleigh Police Department. Service to country, to state, and to community have been very important to me. Attention to detail, a strong code of ethics, and good moral character have been vital to my success. As I plan for retirement in September of this year, (2023) I hope to find a home in a new career molded around a team environment.

During my service with the Raleigh Police Department, I had the honor of being assigned to a number of outstanding specialty units. Because of my high level of motivation and self-discipline, I was often times selected amongst my peers to serve in these roles. Of note, my service to our Gang Suppression Unit, Fugitive Unit, Hospitality Squad, and "FLEX" Team Unit lead to my career development and prepared me for supervisory roles. I am currently assigned as a lieutenant within our Detective Division and lead several plain clothes units that focus on higher end investigations. This unit, as well as my past unit assignments, operate in a team environment. I love being part of a team and enjoy contributing to a positive outcome involving case investigations and departmental goals.

As my career with the Raleigh Police Department nears an end, I am very excited to begin my next chapter. The team environment is appealing to my inner motivation and drive. I have a lot to offer and believe my skill-set has prepared me to take on any new challenge!
