- Tested miscibility of different excipient lots and manufacturers in order to determine which was best for our product, compiled/presented results into ternary diagrams
- Used viscometer to test the viscosity of aged samples and different formulations, compared findings with known syringeability values
- Made medications in the lab using excipients and raw API
- Tested the behavior of various depot formulations in aqueous solvents(PBS)
- Learned to aseptically filter formulations in a sterile environment
- Challenged with creating my own experiments and pitching the experiments to higher level scientists
- Created powerpoint presentations based on scientific findings to present at weekly project meetings
- Used excel to compile and present data in ways that all members of the team, regardless of department and scientific background, can understand
- Gained insight and knowledge on drug packaging and delivery systems
- Understand the importance of compatibility between the drug formulation and the packaging materials
- Syringeability(needles/syringes), tensile testing(tubing), compatibility testing of different plastics in formulation
