Desert View Power is a 45-MW Biomass Power Plant. I Began working for this company as a Heavy Equipment Operator, after 2 years I was promoted to outside operator. In the years being an outside operator I learned how the boiler and auxiliary systems work to create power. I learned how to treat and maintain the plants water systems to prevent tube failure and scale buildup. I Learned how to post proper LOTO'S and confined space entry permits. I also began training in the control room for the last 8 months I was at the power plant. Below is a list of some of the valuable knowledge and experience I learned from this job and hope to carry on to my next career:

• Boiler and Auxiliary systems .
• Condensate, Feedwater, and Steam systems.
• Electrical and Mechanical experience.
• Water Treatment.
• How to hang L.O.T.O and confined space permits.
• How to read PIDs
• How to troubleshoot pumps and valves and how to place them in service.
• Can operate Front-end loaders, forklifts, water trucks, backhoes and telehandler.

Operated heavy equipment, maintained ash system and fuel piles.
