  • Verified weight of staged material Used batch sheet to make recipes After all recipes were completed, the CO would verify them, and they would have to be loaded into hoppers.
  • Using a control panel, the recipe was agitated and sent into an extruder to be made into product that was then sent to the packaging department.
  • When switching to a different product, extruders would have to be pulled out of its assembly and cleaned out.
  • Many times we had to uncouple the metal coverings and plates using screw drivers, wrenches, pliers, and hammers to clean it with a water hose or using pressurized air.
  • After cleaning out the die, and extruders, the line would need to be started up again, and the recipes made for the batch.
