Summary

In the 26 years here at UCP I have done Respite, worked as an RC in the adult programs, went to Gildersleeve as an RC/AMAP and in-charge staff for 7 years until moving to the Rome campus where I became a Recreation assistant. While in Rec I spent many of those years taking all of the money for campus to the main office. Where I was recognized as 'setting the bar' for excellence. I have been in-charge many times including having access to Petty/COH/PIA & Rec funds. I would also gather monthly monies from the Managers to take to the main office.

I Coached Special Olympic Basketball and Track & Field.

Came up with Monthly Calendars for the houses along with personal plans. Ran groups and Headed many community outings. I helped recognize and worked with individuals learn community skills like riding the city bus to stores and making purchases.

I am Swim & Van Training certified. I would run on-site orientation for new hires explaining all of the Recreation piece. I enjoyed finding out personal skills and hobbies that someone brings to the program.
