• Patrol Sergeant, primarily working a mid watch shift on the evening and night shifts, supervising subordinates, assisting with calls for service, running crime scenes, processing crime scenes, assisting and leading investigations, approving reports, filing charges with the court, assuring proper coverage on shifts, conducting internal investigations regarding to deputy complaints, issuing or recommending discipline.
• Detective Sergeant, assigned to the drug unit and the Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force, still a K-9 handler, specializing in vehicle / narcotics interdiction, knock and talks, and cultivating informants, but taking a larger role in the overt and covert investigations, writing search warrants, executing search warrants, surveillance, etc.
