When I learned about this company and its job opportunities I became excited about all the possibilities. Since I have been working in the gas and oil well drilling industry for over 16 years, this is the perfect opportunity for me to offer my experience and training in this industry to a company that can benefit from the background that I have received while working as a drilling fluids engineer. My résumé that summarizes my qualifications is offered for consideration and review. Presently, I travel to well drilling sites where I work with drilling crews to provide my expertise and experience in drilling fluid technology for customers who purchase products for use in the drilling process. During my time as a mud engineer, I have completed 10 weeks of formal training in colloidal and general chemistry, as well as volume and hydraulics calculations, and followed this extensive training in drilling fluids technology and in well control techniques with 12yrs of on the job field experience in the use of these procedures. While I am specifically applying for the advertised position as a fluids engineer/supervisor, I ask to be considered for whatever position is suited to my experience and training. I am willing to begin with such a job with the hope that in the future I will be considered for a higher position based on my work record with the company. I know I have a lot to offer to your workforce, and I would appreciate being considered for an interview so that I can learn more about your needs and how my background can fit into your company. I will be glad to furnish sound references from those who know my abilities, work ethic, dependability, and commitment to doing quality work. Thank you for considering me, and I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, David Cantrell cantrelld640@outlook.com Cell: (859)671-0897
