I became lead server not too long ago. It was said that it was a very trusting and hard earned position and that its very complex. However, I can do it with no problem and manage the staff correspondingly as planned. If a resident is upset, or unhappy in which their food was handled, or how they were talked to, I would reconfirm the problem, and resolve the issue. When it comes down to it, if the food that they ordered isn't what they expected and they don't want it anymore, I offer them something else and give them something else on the menu, or an alternative like a grilled cheese, or a Lox N Bagel. How I see it, Is that I insist on them always being right and give them what they want.
I am lead server at Oakmonte Village, Making sure that everyone of my employees do their jobs as planned and accordingly with a sharp sense of paying attention to detail. We are a fine dining, Detail means everything. I handle every resident with gentle care and assist if anything isn't to their liking. Currently, I still make sure that the residents are happy and well fed. I serve with a smile even when the rush gets rough.
However, This was my first job, I was a float for filling in positions when ever we were short. I quit this job because I felt like I was the only one trying to do everything with no team work/stability and I felt it was needed to quit. I was swift and elegant with the bagging process and made sure that the customer was Always right.
Being a lead server is a reward its self.. The trust that the manager has in me is strong, In which they offered me the roll of lead server. I handle things with care and delicacy and pay attention to detail. I get compliments from the residents as such, I am good with soothing their delights, making sure that they get what they want quickly, Making sure that their food is hot, getting their drinks refilled and or getting them a fresh drink. Just a lot more things that improved my skills to be helpful and just great to be around.
I play in marching / concert band at Lake Mary High school. I've been playing clarinet since I was in 7th Grade and that I love playing pieces that are given to me. Being in band has made me develop a lot of skills to improve my confidence in which I need to be social.
