I am responsible for the staffing, training and development of 10 Managers / Supervisors and 100 hourly team members. I have comprehensive financial responsibilities, to include Revenue Management, Marketing and Business Plans, Budgets and Forecasting, and Profit Goal achievement. I also have a prominent role in facility management. My hotel is in the top 10% of Hilton Guest Experience scores and had a record financial year in revenue and profit in 2023.
I functioned as the General Manager of a sports themed restaurant, bar and banquet facility with seating for 350, as well as the Food & Beverage Director for the Arena. I opened the restaurant and built it to nearly 3 million in revenue. Arena events I oversaw included the Plymouth Whalers hockey team with 40 home games a year, Concerts, Corporate functions and a Summer Drive-in Movie Theatre.
I was hired as a District Manager and promoted to VP of Operations for this 17 unit, multi concept, Ann Arbor based restaurant group. I opened 12 new locations during my tenure, building management teams primarily from within. I was responsible for all aspects of operations for all 17 units in 4 states, with revenue of 40 million.
