  • Became the first CFO of the organization, responsible for the financial performance of all entities, ROC USA, LLC, and Resident Ownership Capital, LLC, and Integrity Community Solutions, Inc. ROC USA, LLC is a national CDFI and provides loans to limited equity cooperatives in the affordable housing space with a portfolio of close to $400 million in loans. The organization employs a loan participation strategy to maximize lending capital and allow the organization to eventually serve as many states as possible. Integrity Community Solutions, Inc., acquires and manages manufactured housing communities.
  • Organizational Strategy and Results
  • Together with the President and executive leadership team, develops the strategy to ensure that the organization has the financial resources needed to achieve its current and future goals, while mitigating financial and operational risk
  • Serves as a key advisor to the board of directors, and convener of the finance and audit committee
  • Develops and maintains effective working relationships with key financial partners including funders, LLC Members, lenders, partners, government agencies, consultants, and vendors

  • Oversees organizational budgeting, accounting, and cash management to ensure accurate reporting, interpretation, and analysis of financial results in conjunction with forecasts and long-range plans
  • Manages and supports the preparation of the annual consolidated corporate audit and tax returns
  • Establishes and maintains controls to safeguard assets; documents and makes improvements to internal financial management policies and procedures

  • Supervises the Accounting Manager and accounting staff on day-to-day operations that includes, but is not limited to, month/year end close, accounts receivable & payable, financial reports, payroll, invoicing, cash receipts and disbursements

  • Reviews key legal agreements, including grant, guarantee, CDFI FA, CMF, bond, contract, and/or loan agreements
  • Reviews key operating agreements for real estate owned, including management, loan, equity and other agreements
  • Ensure loan closing sources and uses are balanced and parties are paid in accordance with agreements and standards for real estate closings
  • Monitor the Company’s operating performance and compliance and work closely with President and COO to identify key issues and solutions
  • Community Development Financial Institution with revenues of $14 million and assets of $180 million.
