I was hired with IDOC on November 15th 2021 and began my OIT training at IMSI. On January 3rd 2023, I attended the Idaho POST Academy and graduated on January 27th 2023 at the top of my class. From January 30th 2022 to January 8th 2023, I was assigned as a lead officer in the Administrative Segregation Unit at IMSI B-Block on night shift. My duties included:

  • Conducting resident escorts to and from showers nightly.
  • Conducting routine wellness checks and count.
  • Completing nightly paperwork such as updating meal rosters and scheduling residents for the phone, kiosk, and visits.
  • Responding to emergencies throughout the institution.
  • Sorting and handing out mail to the resident population
  • Conducting routine random and targeted UA’s on the resident population.
  • Turning in and handing back residents laundry.
  • Answering questions any residents have in a respectful manner.
  • Prepared, processed and maintained forms, reports, logs, records and activity journals.

From January 9th 2023 till now, I have been a lead officer in the Administrative Segregation Unit at IMSI B-Block on day shift. My duties include:

  • Feeding breakfast, lunch, and dinner, to the population.
  • Escorted residents to the recreation yard, cells, medical appointments, and to other locations throughout the facility.
  • Observed behavior of residents individually and in groups.
  • Conduct random searches of the residents and their cells.
  • Supply cleaning supplies to the residents.
  • Resolve issues the residents are having.
  • Recently have been accepted as a Field Training Officer at IMSI.
  • Supervise other officers that are working in my assigned unit.
