Recieved college education in sound engineering for 3 years at SFA and Angelina college. I was unfortunately unable to finish my degree because I had to start my job at Sound Techs.
Professional Sound Technician with excellent microphone techniques and experience setting up and operating audio equipment. Manages multiple projects with little direction. Specialize in audio engineering in both live and studio settings.
Sound Techs later sold the Live sound business to Paragon were I continued to work on mostly Yamaha and Midas consoles. Here I was able to learn the basics of DMX and lighting. I became proficient with RDnet, flying, and tuning RCF rigs. I also took several hours of training on system tuning.
For a short time I was able to work with and mentor under Vince at Backstage. With him I became proficient with Wireless workbench. I worked with him at UT Austin for their homecoming ceremony where I had a team with me monitoring the mics on stage. I also work monitors at several events for him. Working for Vince exposed me to more line array systems and being proficient with most of the JBL line. I also spent 2 weeks with in Pasadena at their rodeo show setting up and tearing down bands almost every day. I was working for Paragon at the same time unfortunately I had to stop working with him.
After college I worked at company called Sound Techs where on I became certified on a Yamaha and Midas mixing consoles. I received my first and second level Dante certification. I learned the basics of rigging. While working for them we ran sound and set up staging for most events in Lufkin. We were contracted by Angelina College to Provide the PA or general labor for all plays that went to the college.
I worked as a apprentice electrician for a year before returning to college. learned proper safe use and maintenance of power tools and safety equipment.
In the Marine Corps I was educated on operating and maintaining a Network on base. This was a year long training that educated me from the very basics of electricity to advanced computer use. We rebuilt computers and built fiber optics cables. I was medically discharged early.
