• Gained valuable experience working with the homeless, learning the needs and resources available to meet those needs.
• Sorted and organized files and developed brochures for a quick view of how HR can help.
• Gained hands-on experience in various software programs, increasing proficiency and expanding technical skill set.
• Contributed to a positive team environment by collaborating with fellow interns on group projects and presentations.

When the parent cannot provide a safe home, the child is placed with a relative such as a grandparent or an Uncle/ Aunt.

Programs like the Guardian Assistance Program can offer financial support and benefits to the caregiver.

Legal Aid and Advocacy helps the caregiver with legal services to kinship families, helping them establish and maintain guardianship and sometimes custody.

Specifically, the internship's duties were to help caregivers navigate to resources that would benefit their needs.
