In my two decades as a Detective before retiring from the Bozeman Police Department I was honored to serve our community and get to interact with the wide range of people living here. From adults and children to business leaders or someone who may be in crises and needing a helping hand I truly enjoyed the opportunity to interact with everyone. I have a deep knowledge of all the outdoor opportunities in our area and love speaking with people about what they want to do and how I might help them.

- I worked as a Detective for 11 years and a Patrol Officer for 9 years before retiring in 2023 from the Bozeman Police Department. During this time, I worked with the public on a daily basis. I also worked with various other groups, such as advocates and staff at community shelters, hospitals, and Montana State University.
- I managed a complex case load investigating various crimes from homicides and assaults to sexual crimes and stalking.
- I prided myself on keeping those involved in the investigations current on the status and treating everyone fairly.
- I conducted trainings for staff both within the Bozeman Police Department and for local judges, attorneys, and other law enforcement.

Skills
- I interviewed people daily in the course of my investigations I also was trained as a Forensic Interviewer of children This means I received specialized training while speaking with children that would take into account their developmental level, and establishing rapport to accurately gather what information they could share
- I have lived in Bozeman for over 20 years and I am very familiar with all the recreational activities in the area I have skied, biked, hiked, camped and more both here and throughout Montana I know great places locally to do all these things for any skill level
- I also worked for the local ambulance service here in Bozeman and received ongoing medical training throughout my time with the police department
- I have a lot of experience working with people who may be upset or going through a difficult experience and remaining professional and empathetic in my dealings with them
