Started work as a field mechanic and then moved inside as an assistant PM and advanced through Project Manager to Sr Project Manager. In our firm, Project Managers are responsible for Takeoff, Estimating, Procurement, Oversight of work in the field, Billing and Collections.
Earliest work was during summer breaks in Jacksonville, Florida working in the field. My first jobs were as an apprentice renovating the interiors of cruise ships for Norwegian Caribbean Lines. This involved open ocean interior demolition while the ships traveled from Miami to Jacksonville Shipyard in Jacksonville,Florida.
After graduating from Rollins College, I worked as an assistant on the mobile launch platform for Blount Bros at Cape Canaveral and subsequent to finishing that work, moving into the office in Orlando, Fl.
I was transferred to the Tampa Branch in 1999 and remained there till my retirement in 2021.
Two years after that I "unretired" because I missed the feelings of camaraderie and accomplishment that work provided me.
Spent a lot of time on the water growing up. Fishing and Sailing were mainstays. I have been involved with competitive tennis through high school and College and I am active in USTA leagues currently
