Summary
- I started out at my current company in September 2019 having no knowledge or skills in a production and manufacturing environment and over the last 4 years have been able to learn a lot and grow in the manufacturing industry.
- I started in the shipping department, learning how to paint, tag, and process orders to be shipped out to our customers. this also includes creating crates for the larger orders and moving orders with a forklift as needed. During this time i also would contact the freight companies to schedule pick-ups and I would load/unload the freight trucks when needed.
- Shortly after I was able to move into the welding department and was taught how to MIG & TIG weld. I also occasionally will case harden or Anneal parts if necessary. (this includes steel and stainless MIG & TIG welding).
- I then moved onto the engine lathe where i learned how to run the lathe and make simple parts that we would need for jobs.
- after about 6 months or so between being in welding and the engine lathe i was able to start making more complicated parts on the engine lathe.
- A year later once i was able to do the engine lathe work proficiently i was then able to move to our HAAS CNC lathe to learn how to setup and run parts on a CNC.
- My current position as of 2024 is the HAAS CNC lathe and the MIG & TIG Welder. Occasionally i will help the other departments in making or fixing parts if needed.
*I understand while i may only have 4 years of experience in manufacturing i am extremely dedicated to working hard and learning as much as i can so i can progress and improve my skills *
