Upkeep and maintenance on seven concrete plants. Everything from electrical to hydraulics and everything in between. Scheduling maintenance overhauls. Proactive to reactive maintenance on all equipment.

I started as a casing hand (laborer) and moved into running my own crew as a tong operator within my first year. After six years we slowed down so i took a dispatch position instead of being laid off. One year later the drilling picked up and I went back into the field as a CRT tool specialist until we had another lay off.

Coordinated with yardmasters to ensure efficient movement of trains within rail yards, optimizing space utiliztion and minimizing delays.

Inspected locomotives before and after runs.

Operated locomotives to transport freight and other materials.

Examined locomotives to verify adequate fuel, sand, water, etc...

Assisted in training new Locomotive Engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices for optimal job performance.

Climbed on and off rail cars to set or release hand brakes, couple and uncouple air hoses between cars and remove / replace broken knuckles.
