I started out framing house at 14 with my uncle. when i became of age to legaly worl not just side jobs. i worked at aliance lumber for a few years then went to shuck and sons and joined a framing crew.i worked my way from a laborer to a lead framer on the crew. i actually am a metal fabricator as well as very mechanical.so i qouls fix all our crews broked tools instead of taking them to carlsons or anywheere else. it saved the company time and money and kept my crew working profisently. i also used a system where we sat up crews for different aspects of the house. one crew woud do all bearing walls and beem sets, the next crew would do all interior non bearing walls, then we had a truss crew that all they did was set trusses house after house. then my last two crews were a roof crew, anda soffit crew. i alway held my guys to a strict code of no matter production or how busy we were when a crew was doen leaving the house it ws to be picked up and left as spotless as you can in constrution so i never had in fighting betweeen crews they all rspected this policy and adheared to it and we always had a clean nice looking track, from shuck i went to pulte building systems and brought my way there and it saved alot of time and money for pulte my crews were happy cause it was piece work so they akk did very well for themselves.ii had 25 crews of 8 or more guys on each crew at one time i had t help pulte break up the payout sheet since it was piece work and wsnet set up for thrsytem i brought to the company.however a week later i hadd it all seperated and coding done so everyone got paid correctly and n time. i also always heldmy guys to do there own pick up they didnt gt paid for this as it was in there origilanl pay fee schedual. i never had problems because i started it from thr bginging amd showed them respect and if there was a accounting problem at the office i madde sure to take care of it imeditly for them. i also used my bonus two years in row i asked all y guys if they mad end of th year quota i would throw thema party out of my pocket, and the did theey far exeded my expectaiotions i new i had great crews nut they really showed me a apprecation level since they new i always keot my work to them. so i did buisness witha guy name orco dave not sure if hes still there but i bought all my formans brand new deathstick hammrs cause they loved them then i bought taps speed squares chauk amd pencil holders cats paws 8 new sets of tool bags as well as provided carneasada for lunch with all the fixings. and i did a blind raffle gave out tickets and called numbers to make it fair. when e told us we were the #1 track in the country for them it was a great rewarding feeling i had zero back charges as well. so when the botttom fell out and alot of us got laid off a and b players i had guys that wanted to follow me wherevere i was going next i had there rspect and loyalty ny how we all worked togethr as a team and i alwyas treae upmost respect and dignity....i went to truck driving cause it anther trade thats i,y famliy blod line. so i wanted to try sothing for awhile but my wife just graduated vet tech school and is a certified vet tech so i wantmewhere i can really use my skills to help save money get prodution on time alwyas have happy employees that never want to leave us.but most impotantly be hme wit my amazing wife everyday and not be gone over the road all the time.i will travel for work not a problem i just would refer it to nit be everyweekand never home is all.
