Worked In Vehicle Maintenance Facility (VMF) located at McMurdo Station, Antarctica supporting the United States Antarctic Program and maintaining its associated equipment.

Assisted in the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of all on station equipment and vehicles.

Oversaw shop tool room and other USAP assets in shop needed for a fluid and efficient work environment to assure proper upkeep of equipment.

Worked closely with other USAP personnel to maintain a clean environment on station to diminish impact on the fragile Antarctic climate.

Common on station equipment included Caterpillar loaders, Dozers, Excavators, Challenger tractors and MTS Quad Track tractors. Various Fork lifts and telehandler's. Pisten Bully and Tucker Sno-Cat snow vehicles. Ford Trucks and Utility Vans.

Assisted Power plant workers with repairs and maintenance on Caterpillar generators used around station for power as needed.

Trained and educated on safely working in harsh weather and Arctic climate.

The job also taught alot of customer service and hospitality skills when dealing with customers at on the road repairs/installs aswell as visitors to the fabrication shop for consultations and updates on their orders .
