     I started racing sailboats in Hampton Virginia at the age of 9. Since then i operated a wide variety of small craft boats. This sport stayed with me leading through high school. As I got older the hobby became more competitive and expensive nonetheless. My high school team and I had to work together as one body to win races around the Chesapeake Bay. I was primarily the helmsman so it was my job to implement and execute effective strategies to remain in front of the pack. This hobby of mine carried over easily into an interest in aviation. I find that my experience in aviation mirrors my former career in the water every flight. I intend to pursue my education as a pilot for long term occupation.
