I started teaching early in my career with my first class room experience on Confined Space Rescue Support Roles. From there I taught AED usage with the public in many sectors as I started an AED grant program within the department. I assisted with instructing and volunteering with Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS), Advance Airway, intraosseous (IO) techniques, trench rescue, and different department training roles throughout my career. I established an EMS Bicycle team becoming certified with IPMBA and teaching those skills to new team members.
I am currently working on completing my AS in EMS. From there I would like to work on my BS in Public Safety. In October I will be attending the NOLS Wilderness Upgrade for Medical Professionals (WUMP) where I will receive my Wilderness EMT.
