Oversee daily ROC operations, including public safety technology, traffic safety programs, and real-time video monitoring. Administer the School Zone Speed Safety Program, support traffic and public safety camera systems, coordinate with city departments and vendors, manage procurement requests, and expand community camera partnerships to enhance situational awareness and operational response.

Conducts advanced traffic homicide and crash investigations using at-scene investigative techniques to document physical evidence and prepare cases for courtroom presentation. Responsibilities include crash scene measurement, scale diagramming, photography, analysis of roadway and vehicle evidence, occupant kinematics, and conducting driver and witness interviews. Applies advanced principles of mathematics, physics, and vehicle dynamics to determine vehicle speeds, time-distance relationships, acceleration and deceleration factors, momentum, and impact forces, including complex collision scenarios involving flips, vaults, motorcycles, and commercial vehicles.

Perform sworn law enforcement duties to protect life and property, maintain public order, and enforce local, state, and federal laws. Responsibilities include patrolling assigned areas, responding to calls for service, conducting criminal and traffic investigations, enforcing traffic laws, and apprehending offenders. Prepare detailed reports, gather and preserve evidence, interview victims, witnesses, and suspects, and testify in court proceedings. Engage in community policing efforts, provide public assistance, and work collaboratively with other law enforcement agencies. Operate department-issued vehicles and equipment, adhere to departmental policies and legal standards, and exercise sound judgment in dynamic and high-risk situations.
