I have twenty-six years of experience as a photojournalist in the Tampa Bay area. Skilled in capturing and editing video for news content. Able to work in various environments and situations and still make deadline while telling a good story. Most recently, I was the Multi-media Communications Specialist for Hernando County Government. I produced all of the video content for the county's social media platforms. I also maintained and produced analytical data for the social media platforms.
I was responsible for video and still photo content for various departments for Hernando County. With my skills from working in broadcast news, I was able to create ideas and then produce multi-media content for different platforms to reach the citizens of Hernando County. I often worked independently which demonstrated my ability to deliver results in a timely manner.
I started WFLA in October 2002 as a photojournalist. In 2005, I was assigned to be the bureau photographer in Hernando County and regularly operated a Digital Satellite Truck. In 2008, I was promoted to be a multi-media journalist. Since then, I have obtained an FAA drone operator's license to gather news content. I have covered every hurricane and tropical storm that has hit Florida in the last two decades. I have been part of the landfall crew for Ivan, Katrina, Irma and Ian. I have won an AP award and an Edward R. Murrow award for storm coverage. I have covered Bucs, Lightning, and Rays. In 2022, I traveled to Beijing to cover the Winter Olympics.
