Summary

My name is David "Kyle" Mounger and I am a Physical Therapy at the Birmingham, AL Veterans Affairs. I primarily am covering the area of Acute Care at this time. I also am cross trained in the areas of Cardiopulmonary PT, Outpatient PT (Orthopedic/Neurologic), Vertigo (dizzy) clinics, Fall prevention clinics, amputation clinics, and home visits for equipment/assistive needs. I have been working as a GCS PT since August of 2024 at the Birmingham VA. I have just recently passed my Geriatric Clinical Specialist (GCS) boards exam with my results in on 6/30/25!

I completed observation with Speech Language Pathology, Radiology, Nutrition/Dietetics, Orthopedic surgery, and Home Based Primary Care (Social Work and Nursing) during my previous Geriatric Residency Program with the Birmingham VA.

I am so proud and happy to now be a GCS and be able to provide expert care to the aging veteran population within the VA. I am so blessed to be able to provide skilled care to an underserved population that is so very special to me. Being able to serve those who have served us is one of the upmost honors one can provide.
