Machining

  • Operate manual milling machines and lathe Operate CNC lathes with Fanuc controls.
  • Operate 5 axis CNC lathes with Mazak controls.(Mazak 300y,400y)
  • Operate 5axis CNC vertical machining center.(Mazak 800vii)
  • Set up all tooling and fixtures to operate these machines.
  • Set up all gauging to measure jobs,routinely holding +/- .0005 and better.
  • Work with engineers and programmers to solve problems with machining process.

  • Check parallel and flat of machined parts.

  • Identify scrap parts and notify supervisor.
  • Identify deviations from prints and notify supervisor/programmer/engineer.
  • Sharp eye for imperfections and inclusions in steel.
  • Inspect coatings from outside vendors from gold plate to black oxide.
  • Use of computer for all inspection reports on file.
  • Use of optical comparator.
  • Hardness checker.
  • Weight scales.
  • Epoxy molds for internal features that CMM can't reach.
