  • Project Manager for the Hospital Support Contract Validation Support Contract which supports the expanded CMS quality measure validation process covering three programs managed under the Validation Support Contract: Hospital Inpatient Quality Reporting (IQR), Hospital Outpatient Quality Reporting (OQR), and Hospital-Acquired Condition Reduction Program (HACRP). Lantana has also been tasked with standing up two pilot programs new to validation: Promoting Interoperability (PI) and Inpatient Psychiatric Facility Quality Reporting (IPFQR).   • Work with statisticians to provide random and targeted sampling methods through rule-based criteria to select hospitals for data validation of quality measures, and the VSC team develops and updates targeting procedures as needed, using updated regulations from Medicare rulemaking, historical data and statistical methods as needed.
  • Data scientists calculate separate confidence intervals (CIs) on the agreement rate for both chart-abstracted and eCQM measure types under the IQR program. In addition, the agreement rate is calculated separately for the measures submitted under the IQR Program and HAC Reduction Program.

  • Under the VIQRC project, Lantana has supported quality measure validation since 2014. Lantana worked with its prime contractor to develop/design and implement the eCQM validation pilot. Lantana worked with its prime contractor and subcontractor to design and implement the CMS IQR eCQM validation program.

  • Managed the DSAA Quality Assurance Team’s annual review of over 400 company EQRO technical reports for 15 state Medicaid programs to ensure accuracy of data and data presentation prior to submitting final deliverables to clients. Developed SharePoint submission and tracking tool to manage report reviews and produce data for tracking metrics on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for C-level executives to show where report accuracy needed to improve and where report accuracy had improved.
  • Member of DSAA proposal response team that created responses to over two dozen RFPs and RFIs for new Medicare and Medicaid projects. Wrote technical responses that included describing how HSAG would conduct the work outlined in the request, what expertise HSAG would provide, and what past performance would be applied to the project. Also prepared staffing plans, work schedules, resource allocations, and descriptions of HSAG’s project management system and Lean methodologies for the proposals.
  • Project Manager in the Data Science & Advanced Analytics (DSAA) division of Health Services Advisory Group (HSAG) a Medicare Quality Innovation Network - Quality Improvement Organization (QIN – QIO) for Medicare population in two states and Medicaid External Quality Review Organization (EQRO) for Medicaid population in a dozen states.
