Sanitation Driver

- Operate Side Loader, Combo truck, Rolloff truck, Claw truck and maintenance truck.
- Communicate with supervisor regarding delays, accidents, breakdowns as well as route updates.
- Follow routes closely and maintain time and safety.
- Perform post-trip truck inspection, clean cab of any trash or spills incurred en route and turn in vehicle inspection form.
- Execute and perform daily safety and maintenance checks on garbage truck and related equipment.
- Use radio device to communicate with dispatch.
- Collect and gather garbage from buildings, businesses and other facilities five days per week.
- Drive trucks along establish routes, through residential streets, alleys, business and industrial areas.
- Immediately report any unsafe situations or service related issues to dispatcher or supervisor.
- Inspect trucks prior to beginning routes to verify safe operating conditions.
- Notify supervisor of incidents injuries or property damage.
- Collect from residential homes and businesses on daily basis during ten hour shifts.
- Refuel trucks and add other necessary fluids such as oil and hydraulic fluid.
