All my years in retail management, Inventory control clerk/ receiving, and current job as Peets sales. Maintaining a safe clean organized backroom/ warehouse is crucial to the success of the company. As a young manager i was taught to take care of your inventory/warehouse is very important to the success of your store. It also is a reflection of how your business is run. A well organized warehouse is safe, organized, and clean. In order to maintain these standards they have to be number one priority.


My current job is sale to retail stores, selling extra displays, tracking sales, controlling shrink, ordering, cleaning, safety and staying organized. i have a warehouse that i order for and maintain throughout the year. The product is time sensitive meaning it has code dates of three month till it is deemed shrink. It is crucial to maintain a clean well organized warehouse. In this case is a storage unit that receives a load every Thursday. also have a delivery van that hold inventory for delivery. It to has to be maintained in same fashion as warehouse. they work together as one. They are maintained by staying organized, making a plan for whats coming in, and have a designated spot for when it arrives.
