  • Successfully completed construction of a 1000 man dining facility, 1000 man camp consisting of semi-rigid tent barracks, shower/bathing/laundry facilities, force protection bunkers/barriers and necessary life support elements including power generation, heating/cooling ahead of schedule to support hard date troop deployments.
  • Ensure and enforce all USG contract requirements, specifically relating to potential Human Trafficking violations and Safety performance.
  • Interface with stateside engineering team to modify project design details in adherence with strict expeditionary construction requirements.

  • Prior to project start, travel to FOB Edinburgh, setup personal temporary quarters, identify and establish footprint to receive all incoming construction materials and equipment.
  • Identify and establish footprint of construction site.
  • Interface with on site unit command for all facets of day to day life support/functions.
  • Identify and establish footprint for camp/life support facilities for 50 man subcontractor workforce prior to their arrival.
  • Go through drawings, Scope of Work, and material in detail in preparation for execution.
  • Receive/inspect/inventory/store/secure all construction materials delivered via armed convoy from Camp Leatherneck.
  • Create project schedule that meets/exceeds 45 day required execution timeline. Scope of Work: from bare ground to operational 350 man camp facilities to include 43 decked 10 man structures, shower/laundry/toilet facilities. Black and gray water systems. Expeditionary dining facility. Power generation and distribution. Build force protection Hesco barriers and emplace concrete bunkers.
  • Receive subcontractor workforce consisting of third country nationals and build immediate rapport with leadership team.
  • Ensure rapid installation of workforce life support facilities in compliance with all USG Safety and Human Trafficking related requirements.
  • Aggressively drive schedule to project completion while experiencing numerous challenges that exist in a hostile and kinetic warzone environment i.e. enemy rocket attacks, arrival of material with battlefield damage, and severe and hampering weather.
  • Ensure strict subcontractor adherence to Scope of Work through daily and attentive QA/QC inspections.
  • Successfully delivered project to Client ahead of schedule.
  • Maintained a Zero Injury Incident environment throughout project lifecycle.

Plumbing Construction Foreman

  • Designated on-base Plumbing Subject Matter Expert. In this role, was required to inspect all on-base projects built by others prior to acceptance and turnover. At that point, KBR/Fluor "owned" them and was contractually obligated to maintain at a constant high use operational state. Conducted detailed inspections verifying Scope and Code compliance. Drafted findings and recommendations in detailed reports and submitted to higher management team, driving cost estimates to perform future maintenance requirements. Projects included a prison, wastewater treatment facilities, field hospital addition, K9 and veterinarian facilities.
  • Tasked to scope and estimate smaller projects proposed by multiple entities of Client(USG). Projects included air piping systems in vehicle shops and aircraft hangars, multi-station vehicle wash facility requiring complex and comprehensive drainage system and high volume/high pressure water distribution, living quarters for various military units and civilian contractors, dining facilities, fuel storage facilities, water purification and storage facilities, rebuilding wells, and scoping/prepping smaller projects for multiple satellite installations.
  • Spearheaded condemning/rebuilding dozens of self contained shower/toilet facilities on Bagram to maximize operation and unit durability. Designed simple to build and durable facilities within the confines of a 20' shipping container. Worked with multiple in company stakeholders and decision making representatives of the USG to standardize and template facilities with the result of drastically reducing downtime, removing multiple extreme supply chain challenges, reducing inventory quantities, maximizing facilities available for high use 24/7 operation to support military personnel.
  • Tasked with leading/managing concrete crew. Primary workload was construct and install blackwater and graywater tanks. Coordinate with all parties as needed to execute install.
  • Lead and manage workforce of over 20 plumbers and Afghan nationals assigned to assist plumbers.
  • Schedule and manage all work performed by plumbers.
  • Track and submit work hours for all employees.
  • Assist in coordinating R&R timing/duration for crew members in a way that balanced needed time off with successful execution.
  • Supervise and equip crew members to work safely by ensuring all necessary safety equipment is available, all tools are serviceable and safe, and a detailed Job Hazard Analysis performed prior to start of any work and was ongoing daily and/or as circumstances and scope changed.
  • Responsible for accountability of personnel at all times, reported project and personnel status daily to Superintendent
  • Reported status of assigned personnel to Superintendent after all enemy attacks on base which mostly consisted of rocket/mortar attacks.
  • Received recognition from Client for leading a team that worked 48 hours non-stop to address system repairs in the field hospital, keeping it operational during high rate of receiving and stabilizing combat casualties.
