  • Provided direction and leadership for a 120-bed hospital as well as an 8-bay ER-based rural hospital and ensured that supply chain operational strategies addressed patient safety, quality, clinical outcomes and cost control for the responsible departments. Ensured operational compliance via dashboards and facility audits. Applied specialized knowledge to solving complex supply chain operations management and business problems within established policies and practices. Hospital included a 2-room cath lab with over 1,000 perpetual inventory items as well as a 16-room OR. Our central distribution wh perpetual inventory consisted of over 1300 items. During my time here, also spent time as the lead purchaser over 6 buyers in our OK region that were purchasing for our St. Anthony Midtown facility as well. Experienced in working with Dolphin Honeywell handhelds as well.

  • Supported the MM department by managing daily MMIS functionality and subsequent interfaces involved with Inventory Management and Purchasing, acted as a dedicated resource responsible for Item Master maintenance, contract database and GPO Contract Database. Acted in the capacity of a project manager with regard to capital improvement projects with additional responsibilities to include capital equipment purchases to assure prudent Purchasing methodology was utilized in negotiating and analyzing Capital equipment bids. Was a dedicated resource who provided Meditech training for Materials Management employees and hospital department personnel. Normal activities included management of all clinical inventories, oversaw that patient charging was accurate and timely and oversaw any ordering done by Inventory Specialist. Placed special emphasis on Inventory Reduction, Supply Chain Management, and Improving Customer Service.
  • Coordinated all shipping and receiving for a 600 bed health system that included 4 hospitals and 2 long term care facilities.
  • Participated in Rapid Improvement Lean Event conducted to streamline and standardize supply and laundry transportation to Rural Health Clinics and Critical Access Hospitals as well as an event to make the St. Joseph Health Systems supply chain process as economically efficient as possible.
  • Coordinated with all hospital employees on the process of ordering supplies through the supply chain as we converted from MAGIC version of Meditech to Meditech 6.0 to include webinar training used to educate employees on the new ordering process.
  • Successfully converted item master dictionary from MAGIC version into Meditech 6.0 version.
  • Supervise employees on processes involved in receiving and redistributing all packages and mail that came through the St. Joseph Health Systems main receiving facility including redistributing it to the main hospital as well as the in-town clinics, and numerous out of town clinics and 3critical access hospitals located across 3 counties.
