  • Joined startup LLC as a 10% partner focused on revenue generation via direct B2B remote backup service sales, and recruiting resellers in the IT space to form a channel network.
  • Pivoted in 2013 to SaaS primarily through network of MSP channel partners, ISV's, and smaller IT break-fix/retail computer stores.
  • Have grown ARR from $0 to just under $1 million, bringing on hundreds of end-users and resellers. Currently manage 3 FTE's focused on Pre-sales engineering, Post-sales Support, SEO and website design.
  • The majority partner and I are negotiating the sale of our company for $3.9 million, which includes a consulting agreement for me, so I'm considering what to do next.

Job overview

  • Started in 1997 as an Inside Sales Rep. focused on selling S+ statistical software, maintenance, and training.
  • After increasing Maintenance renewal rates from 57% to 87% I was promoted to Inside Sales Mgr in 1999. Managed a team of 8 reps and was responsible for sales training, forecasting revenues, and working with senior staff.
  • Promoted to Director of Sales in 2001, started to manage revenue recognition issues related to Sarbanes Oxley, making sure all contracts had proper terms/VSOE, in addition to duties described above. Also had Outside Sales Reps as dotted line reports.
  • Promoted to VP of Sales Operations in 2003, and began working directly with CEO/CFO on budgets, forecasts, while taking on projects like implementing new CRM and guiding Project Dev from a Sales perspective.
  • Overall I helped close around $20 million annually during my tenure at Insightful, and eventually left to join a startup with the CEO.
