In June of 2017, I was involved in a pursuit that went thru neighboring cities. I engaged in a high speed pursuit that went for over 30 miles and when vehicle was cornered subject fired several shots from his vehicle towards mine and nearly struck my head. I exited vehicle and while vehicle was driving off engaged with my duty issued pistol. Two bullets struck subject and he died immediately. Subject had nearly killed a county jailer while escaping from his custody and then he broke into a residence and shot and killed a male subject and fled in his vehicle until he was spotted and I engaged in the pursuit.
