Managed and oversaw the daily operations of Western Newspaper Publishing Co., Inc., [Western] including Production Planning, Estimating (Contract Proposals/Extensions), Customer Service, Technical Services (layout/design), Order Fulfillment, Costing/Billing, Quality Control and Tier 1 Help Desk.
Western was purchased by Printing Partners in May 2016. Prior to being purchases, I was employed in 1997 as a layout/design specialist for customers.
In 2000, promoted to Digital Services Manager where I became the first point of contact of Customer Service as well as technical support for Western clients. The primary focus was on the Digital Prepress Department, but also coordinated with Mailing / Shipping on order fulfillment.
Instructed and trained J.D. students on the design concepts for use with their specific law review and how to manipulate file submission to generate a printed publication. This included customized templates which included macros in MS Word or WordPerfect, as well as travelling to law schools to train on-site students and staff
In 2005, promoted to Operations Supervisor where I oversaw the Front Office, PrePress, Mailing, and Quality Control Departments.
