Work History

Emergency Medicine Rotation

Northshore/ Endeavor Health
  • I worked alongside attending physicians, residents, and advanced practice providers, where I assessed and managed patients with minimal supervision. This hands-on experience allowed me to order diagnostic tests, develop patient care plans, and perform procedures under supervision. By actively participating in the entire patient care process, I enhanced my decision-making abilities and gained valuable insights into the intricacies of emergency medicine. This rotation solidified my commitment to delivering compassionate and timely care to patients in high-pressure environments and demonstrated the team work required for successful patient care.

Internal Medicine Rotation

Captain James A Lovell Federal Healthcare Center
  • Similar to Emergency medicine, I worked with a team of attending physicians and residents but this time, I assessed and managed inpatients. Handling a caseload of 2-3 patients with complex conditions and multiple comorbidities, I conducted daily rounds, ordered, and interpreted diagnostic tests, and presented cases to attending physicians and fellow residents. This experience allowed me to refine history taking, physical exam skills and formulate logical differential diagnoses.

This was an in-person course and focused on evolution of different forms of life and the ecological relationships that make up our biodiversity.
