  • Partner with Group CIDO (Exec level) and sit on National Grid's IT Leadership team supporting a global workforce of 1800
  • Transform IT through a robust and aggressive people strategy and organization design
  • Transforming and doubling size of leadership team in 18 months and focusing on driving new future skills
  • Managed the Strategic workforce plan and Talent Strategy focusing on acquisition of future key skills to support digital strategy.
  • This included finding an optimum of mix of insourced/outsourced resources, sourcing diverse talent and enhancing our EVP to attract the best candidates.

  • Plan and oversee large scale HR transformation of the UK business through the divestment of Gas Distribution (£13 billion) creating the largest Gas Distribution business in the UK
  • This has included but not limited to managing the organizational design of the retained support functions (1000 employees) and coordination of our external partners Hay and KPMG
  • Led the HR Workstream to ensure change activity is undertaken on time and managing the employee relations team on consultation process in conjunction with the Unions
  • Creation of HR Performance Excellence hub and performance metrics to ensure delivery of Workstream activity

  • Strategically reviewed and led in partnership with the Head of Metering Business, an organizational restructure due to 35k reduction in earnings and unprecedented energy market conditions
  • Project managed restructure from planning the announcement, working with unions, guiding managers through consultation and supporting affected colleagues to find alternative work
  • Contributed to strategy discussions and supported the delivery of the business plan, focusing on the people implications of the change program
  • Line managed two HR Advisors and resolved escalated issues as appropriate.
