Accurately interpret shop work orders and roller blueprints to select and efficiently install proper tooling for lathe set up to perform stripping,sanding,painting and adhesive applications. Utilized fork truck /pallet jacks to transport roller to stripping cell. Select proper rigging For utilization of hoists/ Cranes to perform safe and efficient Roller/ container transport,machine loading unloading and shipping and receiving operations perform Data entry of materials used,parts complete,time spent.Etc utilize various hand tools air/ electric..Perform QC and document measurements before and after roller completion .Utilize dial gauge to adjust T.I.R per Blueprint specs. Adjust speeds and feed to achieve safe and efficient compound removal,core sanding journal cleaning/polishing ,painting and adhesive applications. Accurately measured and applied adhesives to precise compound/core contact locations installed bearings weights and heated/chill roll components. Unload/.load rollers into shipping containers and secure.Trouble shoot machine/quality/material/ production issues. Perform preventive machine maintenance and assist other employees and/or departments if needed.
