  • Completed crane training, able to operate Powerhouse's 20 Ton gantry, and 225 Ton bridge crane. In doing so was able to assist in unstacking/reassembling of Powerhouse station service unit for emergency maintenance.
  • Created Hazardous Communications Library for plant. Compiled and organized all plants Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to capture all he chemicals, lubricants, and cleaning products that plant uses daily.
  • Completes all projects routine, high pool, and dam safety instrumentation monitoring. Inputs data weekly into District tracking program for analysis by Dam Safety Office.
  • Designed, procured material, and led construction of 20'x30' storage shed that is used to store spare parts and grounds maintenance equipment.
  • Worked alongside Mechanics in removal of Unit 2 coolers. Disconnected piping and moved coolers to lower level for unit inspection.
  • Repaired oil retaining wall in transformer yard. Cut out and removed damaged section of wall. Mixed, placed and finished new concrete making transformer yard safe in event of oil spill.
  • Assisted Mechanics in refurbishment of Unit 1 Turbine Bearing AC/DC oil system. Disassembled piping system for cleaning and reassembled with new fittings.
  • Worked on removal and replacement of Unit 1 thrust pump. Disassembled pump, cleaned parts, and reassembled with new gaskets and seals.
  • Constructed 6 insulator covers for Southwest Power (SWPA) to use during rehab of transformer yard switchgear upgrade to keep from damaging new insulators.
  • Assisted Electricians in repair of Unit 1 Governor brake assembly. Removed and replaced broken plunger sensor and contact arm.
  • Coordinated with O&M and Ranger staff for road closer across dam. Set up signage on road across dam in preparation of contractor work for the removal and inspection of the dam head gates.
  • Worked with O&M staff for the layout and execution of a new security fence around newly constructed storage building. Completed a Quality Assurance Inspection (QA) to ensure contractor compliance with contract.
  • Updated Powerhouses key control program, enhanced security by procuring new locks and keys for main Powerhouse doors, all adit doors, roadway tower, and spillway doors.
  • Assisted Mechanics in replacement of 2 broken wicket gate sheer pins by removing and replacing pins.
  • Assisted Electricians in replacing over 1,000 ft of cable to rewire plants 380 BUSS after ground failure was found.

  • Assisted in replacement of shutdown coil 65SD. Coil shorted out and caught fire causing Unit 1 to not start. Removed burnt coil, cleaned governor cabinet components that were affected, and installed new coil.

  • Utilizes Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Facilities and Equipment Maintenance System (FEM) on weekly basis inputting labor and opening and closing work orders.
