My main responsibility's were to service 10 different inmate housing units. The HVAC units that I maintained and serviced were water source heat pumps, air to air heat pumps, commercial refrigeration, and templifiers that provides heated water to the housing units. I also serviced and repaired multiple 24 Ton carrier gas package units that each had three 8 ton tandem compressors in them. We had several Manitowoc ice machines that I maintained and serviced in the prison culinary. I was tasked with over seeing inmate helpers and teaching them the HVAC trade. I performed trouble shooting of the Mcquay boilers and made minor repairs like flow switches, condenser pumps and replacement of stainers. My quarterly maintenance involved a deep cleaning of our two cooling towers, Inspected and tested refrigeration systems, safety devices and controls to determine proper functionality.
