I have 4 family members who worked for state parks. My step father and my Aunt retired from state parks. My aunt was Barbara Monroe from Montezuma castle, I lived at Alamo lake, and Picacho Peak, Each about 3.5 years. I have volunteered for Picacho Peaks poppi season, and delivered many a rattle snake to safety. I went on trail head rescues and stayed up on first aid, My father retired from the caverns down by Bisbee, My mother Linda Kilby Met my step Father while working at Fort Verde State Park. Richard Ferdon, then married my mother, Camp Verde's first colonels daughter and moved us to Alamo lake. My Great grandparent's were Howard and Gurtrude Wingfield. They were owners of the original Wingfield general store in Camp Verde. I have a lot of interest and connection to the history of Camp Verde and I am very much interested in state parks
