Maintain Township/County Unit roads, bridges, and airport. Inspect and evaluate conditions of county infrastructure; prioritize and plan appropriate action; direct and supervise that action.

Interact, communicate, and cooperate with public, land owners, commissioners, townships/cities, state agencies, consulting engineers,vendors, and contractors.

Maintain records, monitor/submit reports, road, structure, and equipment management; develop, maintain, and monitor budgets. Equipment management (maintenance, costs, repairs, replacement plan, bid specifications, etc,)

Size drainage structures, design and inspect (LPA certified) construction of box culverts and bridges.

Part owner in the family business - initially a soil conservation contractor and developed into a heavy highway grading company, working in Kansas and Nebraska.

Starting as a laborer, developed into an equipment operator, supervisor, designer, estimator, and eventually part owner - duties ranged from project manager/superintendent, equipment manager, adminstration (contracts,A/P, A/R, certified payroll, etc.)

Maintain county roads, bridges, and transfer station. Completed final cover of county landfill.

Inspect, evaluate, prioritize, and plan action needed for county's roads and bridges. Lead, manage, train and supervise public works crew. Fulfill Administrator's duties in his absence.

Respond to public/landowners issues and concerns. Develop and complete maintenance projects.
