Since Aug of 2016 I have been a machine operator. Of the first 5-6 years at New Hudson Corp. I operated multiple engine lathes simultaneously. I would turn a tube anywhere from 6" in O.D. to 14", and lengths from 150" to 300", whilst boring each end out on another lathe. These past 2-3 years i moved on to an CNC lathe where I learned to set up, operate and do tool changes and other various task needed to properly achieve the task at hand. The lathe is a samsung turning machine with Fanuc controls, as for the manual lathes they consisted of Lehman/Poreba/Chinese made. When there was down time throughout my time at New Hudson i was utilized in every way that was needed. I have done some grinding, welding, milling, drilling and tapping. I am willing and able to learn to do whats necessary to complete the job.
The previous job I held at controlled Magnetics i wore two hats as I was shipping and receiving lead whilst do fabrication. The company produces Transformers and in S/R i would have to make sure they were properly wired to spec, some i had to do myself. Then i would secure them to a pallet and build a box around them. When finished i proceeded to build the brackets and cabinets that housed the transformers by cutting, bending, punching holes and louvers out of different gauged sheet steel and angled iron.
