Work History

Technical Sales Representative

Vivolac Cultures Corp.
Indianapolis, IN
03.1998 - 04.2020
  • I worked as the West Coast outside technical sales representative for the food and supplement industries. My job had three components: Direct Sales, Technical Support, and Customer Service.
  • My mission was to sell our live bacterial cultures to food processing companies out West, and to assist them with technical support and guidance in the processing and fermentation of their finished products.
  • I was also the customer service representative for all of my customers. I had between 100 and 200 customers during my tenure. My customer service experience involved face-to-face meetings, and phone and online support.

Technical Director

Friendship Dairies, Inc.
Friendship, NY
08.1991 - 03.1998
  • At Friendship Dairies, I worked as a fermentation scientist, overseeing the manufacture of a natural mold inhibitor (calcium propionate) from the fermentation of dairy whey.
  • By 1993, I was also in charge of research and development of all new retail products at the plant. I was also given the job of starter culture manager, overseeing the growth and maintenance of bulk starter culture used in the manufacture of cottage cheese, one of the largest facilities of its kind in the U.S.
  • The products I helped develop were an all-natural sour cream, a new yogurt line, and a reduced-fat cream cheese made from cheese curd.
