Commissioner of Natural Resources

  • Oversee consolidation of five departments into one new department encompassing the Park, Forestry, Conservation, Cemetery, and Recreation Divisions
  • Daily oversight of 56 full-time employees and more than 240 seasonal employees
  • Manage implementation of more than $80 million in capital projects within five years including park construction and renovation; cemetery expansion and improvement; road and bridge construction; and building construction
  • Worked to bring two professional sports teams to Quincy (Boston Cannons and New England Freejacks) which led to $1 million private investment in the City's main high school football/soccer field
  • Enhance communication with the public, particularly in a post-pandemic environment through the use of technology
  • Establish accountability standards for all employees including performance reviews and GPS systems for vehicles
  • Leverage almost $4 million in outside grant funding to support Mayor's initiatives for ongoing improvements

  • Randolph's first Town Manager after a voter-established Charter change; had served as Executive Secretary to Board of Selectman for two years prior to being appointed Town Manager
  • Grew Town's financial reserves by more than 500%, leading to four bond-rating increases
  • Established creative approach to revenue and exclusively dependent on new development; purchased building for $1, cured multiple encroachments and auctioned for $975,000; partnered with billboard company to install digital billboard along Rt. 24 generating $500,000 annually for Town
  • Created Town's first Five-Year (rolling) Capital Plan to ensure capital dollars were invested wisely
  • Worked with Randolph Police and the community to reduce crime rate by moree than 25%
  • Built community and Town Council support for more than $40 million in capital building investments to include new community center, new fire station, addition to police station, and addition and renovation of public library.
  • Used technology to strengthen connection with public including See,Click,Fix where Randolph was ranked top five in nation for response times
  • Created unique collective bargaining agreements with all Town Unions that tied their annual raises to Town's revenues
