I’m responsible for all Operations of Cimbali Group (larger Espresso Machines worldwide manufacturer) in North America, a Business Unit with a turnover (2023) around $75M, with one manufacturing plant, one R&D center and two distribution warehouses across USA.

I drive a team of 90 people, with responsibilities in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Process Engineering, R&D and After Market Service. My main challenges in my role are:

  • drive a production plant with 40 blue collars and 5 production lines to serve all North America Market, ensuring an excellent level of service and continuous labour efficiency improvement
  • to be responsible for all the Supply Chain with worldwide supplier's network, working with them for adequate parts availability and continuous direct material cost efficiency
  • to keep continuous focus on working capital of the Business Unit, to guarantee an healthy cash flow and finance independence of the Business Unit
  • to improve Quality Product & Process output, highlighting a continuous improvement approach in product design and process execution
  • to coordinate and R&D team located in Seattle, responsible for all the products certifications, small re-design for cost reduction and local market product re-design
  • Ensured compliance with industry regulations through diligent oversight of daily operations and thorough documentation practices.

Manufacturing Manager - Heat Exchangers

I was the manager of a capital intensive production department (manufacturing heat exchangers, around 15 semi-automatic/automatic lines) for the most important car makers (GM, PSA, FCA,...), operating 18 shift per week (85 blue collars & 6 white collars), with full responsibility in the manufacturing area (Production, Quality, Safety); my key activities & goal was:

  • to guarantee the adequate level of service (parts on time) for high pace customer lines
  • continuous improvement of manpower efficiency, defining strategies and implementing their execution
  • Scraps reduction for highly automated production lines
  • OEE management and improvement, driving the application of managerial & technical implementation tools
  • to control & incentivize efficient relationship with unions
