My position with Help At Home was a little different from my time at On-Site Companionship. My stepfather was unintentionally paralyzed due to a back surgery that was done incorrectly. During this time, I assisted in taking care of my stepfather, Mr. Cedric. Amongst other things, my main responsibility was to stretch his body and to ensure he felt as little pain as possible, speaking that he has something called partial paralyzation. A partial paralyzation is when an individual loses control of their limbs, but can still feel any and all physical pain. I aided and assisted in cooking meals, bathing, and physical activity, as well as a hint of emotional support when his therapist was unavailable.
As a Traveling Sales Representative at Englert Leafguard, I was responsible for traveling to preset appointments, further educating customers that were interested in purchasing our gutter system via presentation. While educating the customer on LeafGuard, I'd also present and compare the other types of gutter protection options and how it differed from our system. Once finished with the presentation and the customer decides to protect their home with LeafGuard, we'd move forward with the purchase process, rather it'd be financing through Synchrony Bank, or a cash purchase. Lastly, the customer and I would contact the manager of our installation team and schedule a day for the service to be provided.

At On-Site Companionship, I was a Direct Support Professional for people ranging from ages 16 to 50 with mostly mental, or behavioral disabilities. For this job, I had to be trained on how to correctly administer medication, as well as obtaining my CPR Certification. Being a DSP, I was responsible for administering medication, taking the client to and from appointments, school, or food shopping. different clients had different activities such as work, support groups, and doing activities to get the client out of the house and active. Some clients wanted to go to the gym, or take walks, while others preferred to do in-home activities. Overall, my duty was to help to take care of and support the client in any way they needed me, within reason.
HLH Logistics was a company based in Florida with goals of expanding their business into Pennsylvania. I lead my crew of two other workers and myself.
The day started with driving the company's 24 foot box truck to the Levin Furniture warehouse in Smithton, PA, where we would load the box truck with furniture. Then, my team and I would drive around delivering and assembling said furniture. If a piece of furniture wasn't accepted by the customer, i filed the proper paperwork and communicating with both Levin and my employer, before returning undelivered furniture back to the warehouse.
As a Key Holder/MAnager at Advance Auto, my responsibilities were more complex, and in addition to than the basic team member. When scheduled to open the store, I was responsible for currency both in the safe and the registers. I kept track of the teams earnings for the day, ensured we were giving the best customer service as possible, and solving customers mechanical problems. At the end of the day, my duty was to count the currency in registers down, ensuring all transactions are present and accurate according to the balance of the drawer, then dropping cash into the safe. Once counted, I was responsible for locking the store and setting the security system.
