
My career objective for the State of Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction has always been to be firm, fair and consistent while maintaining a calm, cool and collected attitude with our inmates along with keeping the public safe by executing my duties as a state corrections officer with diligence, deterrence and as a positive role model. I have always strived for excellence in quality, service, innovation and communication in any and all levels of office public and private to ensure what is in the best interest of the agency and to the people we serve.
Supervision of close/max parole violators and new intake inmates that come in with new cases in the housing units and conducted unit activities and schedules. Worked chapel which included security details for inmate religious services, special events, education, recovery services and other programs. Consistently worked overtime during low staff level days, transporting of inmates to outside prison and medical facilities, systematic escorting of inmates in mass movements on the compound, segregation unit, chow halls, suicide watches, English and Spanish translation details, training new officers and other miscellaneous duties according to department policy and procedures.
Supervision of high security level inmates which included mass movements, count procedures, daily completion of pass and housing block schedules, timely security checks, transport of inmates to other facilities, institutions and hospitals. Perimeter and area patrol of main institution and camp which maintained lower level inmates. Worked segregation blocks, chow halls, watch towers, training new officers, English and Spanish translation details and conducted other miscellaneous corrections details related to department policies and procedures.

Defense tactics/ subject control certified. CPR and first aid. Firearms certified for State of Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. Carry OC spray certified.
